It was a Good News kind of Sunday. Eden led us in Lectio Divina through portions of Psalm 139. Steve and Karen lead communion using a traditional reading from the Anglican church and Sarah preaches a great message full of honest hope on the lectionary text of John 1:43-51.

This week's service included Lectio Divina using Psalm 29 with Sarah, A communion service with a focus on the importance of symbols with, their misuse and their redemption with Karina, and a great sermon from Mark 1:4-11 from Eden on straightening paths for everyone and what it's like to make more room at the table.

Karina, Eden & Sarah lead us through our first service of the new year. It is both special and difficult. We are mindful of the honest hope we have in Jesus, and we take some time to make room for our experience of loss and remember a special member of our community, Paul Redekopp, who died suddenly this past week. We are grateful to be in community with all of you.

This one has too many people who lent their voices and participation to name, but boy was it fun! We did our last advent reading and lighting together, had a special communion service, a completely accurate retelling of the Christmas story with a cast of many (come for the Christ child but stay for the sheep who steal the show!), and a timely word and benediction for all of us who are part of the Bridge family. A Happy and Honest Christmas to all!
